Mirielle Strasser - About Me!
This is my 22nd year of teaching! 17 of those years have been in Gifted Education and I love it. I taught Gifted Preschool in a PK-8th grade private school for 13 years before becoming a Gifted Specialist almost 4 years ago. Now I work in a K-6 building with my primary responsibilities being to serve 3rd-6th Gifted students. In addition, I also work as an Enrichment Teacher and as a Testing Consultant for Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development. I just completed my Technology Specialist Endorsement because I love integrating technology into just about every project that my students work on. I am excited to take on this writing challenge. Writing has never been my strong point, but I really like the idea of having my students blog next year for our new inquiry based curriculum and this will be a great learning experience for me.
My Slice of Life theme is "3 Best Things". I have a facebook friend who is a writer and for 2 years she has been doing her 3 best things every day. I love the thought, retrospect and positivity that go into her posts so I thought I would give it a try!
